About Us

Women On Wheels® was founded in 1982 for the express purpose of uniting women motorcyclists. We are dedicated to promoting the interests of ALL women who ride, whether on their own machine, as a passenger on someone else's, or as future motorcyclists! WOW has riders in their teens, in their 80's and every age in between! WOW's focus is on the member and the lifestyle of motorcycling, rather than on the machine. WOW members ride every make and model of motorcycle imaginable; it's not WHAT we ride that's important, but THAT we ride!

If you are a lady who loves to drive or ride pillion (as passenger) on motorcycles/motorbikes, scooters, or trikes then this is the group for you! This organization welcomes your family members and you to indulge your passion for riding with other hobbyists, at rallies, chapter meetings, tours, or other events.

WOW members experience the fun and excitement of riding together, supporting each other, socializing, sharing adventures, and helping special charities--all while projecting a brighter image of motorcycling.

Our Mission

To unite all women motorcycle enthusiasts for recreation, education, mutual support, recognition, and to promote a positive image of motorcycling.

The Heartland Chapter is located in the St. Louis metropolitan area. We have members from all over St. Louis and its surrounding areas. The Heartland Chapter is very active all year long. During motorcycling season, the chapter usually rides once a week, on a weeknight, and on many weekends.  We also enjoy getting together with other local motorcycle clubs and WOW chapters across the country. In the Winter, the chapter still meets for fun and socializing at different places in the St. Louis area. There are a lot of exciting events planned for this spring and summer.
